The Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at Democritus University of Thrace, in accordance with Law 4485/2017 (Government Gazette A’ 114), which redefined the framework for postgraduate studies in Higher Education in Greece, leveraging its extensive experience in organizing postgraduate programs (since 1993), has been offering, since the academic year 2018-2019, new intensive postgraduate programs for specialization in the department's fields of study, specifically:

• Inter-institutional Postgraduate Program "Clinical Exercise and Applications of Technology in Health" - Government Gazette 2245/Issue B’/15.6.2018 (Inter-institutional Postgraduate Program by the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (D.P.E.S.S.) of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science (S.P.E.S.S.) at Democritus University of Thrace (D.U.Th.) in collaboration with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NCSR "Demokritos")).
• Postgraduate Program "Functional Rehabilitation of Injuries in Athletes & Trainees" - REESTABLISHED (Government Gazette 22461/Issue B’/15.6.2018).
• Postgraduate Program "Creative and Adapted Physical Education" - Government Gazette 2245/Issue B’/15.6.2018.
• Postgraduate Program "Exercise Physiology & Coaching" - Government Gazette 3743/Issue B’/31.8.2018.
• Postgraduate Program "Sports Tourism, Event Management, Dance" - Government Gazette 4626/Issue B’/18.10.2018.
