Stress management groups for D.U.Th. students

4

The Center for Psychological and Counseling Support (KEPSYSY) of Democritus University of Thrace is organizing online psychological support groups for all students enrolled at Democritus University of Thrace, focusing on stress management.
The groups will be small (6–8 participants) and will consist of six sessions, which will take place over the next two months.

What is stress and how does it affect our daily lives?

Stress can serve as a driving force, helping us meet the demands and challenges of everyday life. However, when it becomes intense or persistent, it can affect our functioning, relationships, and quality of life.
Managing stress begins with identifying its sources and understanding the role it plays in our lives, in connection with our self-image, personal experiences, and life history.
Within the group, in a safe and supportive environment, we will have the opportunity to explore our relationship with stress, gain a better understanding of our thoughts and feelings, and seek new ways of approaching the difficulties we face.

The aim of the group is to promote emotional empowerment, enhance self-awareness, and develop practical self-support and self-care skills that will help us manage stress more effectively in our daily lives.

How to participate

To participate, please complete the participation form or contact us by phone at 2510 462411, by November 9, 2026.
No previous experience participating in similar groups is required.

Before the sessions begin, an individual interview with a psychologist will take place. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity to get acquainted, explore the needs of prospective participants, and explain the framework and guidelines governing the group’s operation.
