The project Sport for Sustainable Development of Youth and Sports Clubs (#SportClubsYouth4Sustain) addresses the Erasmus+ horizontal priority on environment and climate change and the specific priority of promoting education and employability through sport. Its main objective is to foster eco-entrepreneurial competences among young people aged 15–19 and sports club staff, promoting sustainable development principles in sports management.
The project develops an innovative methodology on eco-entrepreneurial competences, tested through two Eco-entrepreneurial Sports Bootcamps during the EU Green Week and the European Week of Sport. It also creates a Virtual Platform with an e-learning Vademecum and e-library to support skills acquisition and knowledge sharing.
The project combines EntreComp and GreenComp frameworks to build green and entrepreneurial skills through education through sport. It targets youth (including those with fewer opportunities), sports club teams, and indirectly educators and trainers. Through transnational cooperation between BG, EL and RNM, the project strengthens people-to-people connectivity and environmental awareness.
Overall, it supports behavioural change, sustainable sports management practices, and enhanced transnational and cross-sectoral capacity of participating organizations.
