The main objective of the event is to introduce children to the sport of tennis through an enjoyable, safe, and pedagogically appropriate experience that promotes physical activity, sports culture, and the development of motor, social, and cooperative skills.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"hr4\" \/>\n<p><strong>Event Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Venue:<\/strong> <strong>Municipal Tennis Courts of Alexandroupolis<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dates:<\/strong> From <strong>Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 11, 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>School hours:<\/strong> Weekdays from <strong>9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participants: <\/strong>All <strong>female and male students of the Primary Schools<\/strong> of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis (upon registration of their school to participate).<br \/>\n*The activity may also be extended to the Lower Secondary Schools of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis, depending on the level of participation and following consultation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"hr4\" \/>\n<p><strong>Pedagogical Framework &amp; Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The initiative is implemented in accordance with the international standards of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), specifically <em><strong>based on<\/strong><\/em> the <strong>\u201cTennis10s \u2013 Play &amp; Stay\u201d<\/strong> methodology, ensuring a modern and pedagogically appropriate approach. During the Festival, the sports activities will be supported by <strong>teams of female and male students from the D.P.E.S.S. of D.U.Th.<\/strong>, under the supervision and guidance of the Department\u2019s responsible faculty members.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_grid cols_1 laptops-cols_inherit tablets-cols_inherit mobiles-cols_1 valign_top type_default stacking_default\" style=\"--columns-gap:1.5rem;\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container us_custom_29027566 us_animate_this\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_grid cols_2 laptops-cols_inherit tablets-cols_inherit mobiles-cols_1 valign_top type_default stacking_default\" style=\"--columns-gap:1.5rem;\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container us_custom_17d59a18 us_animate_this has_bg_color\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_e0aea17a\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Guidelines for School Principals and Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure the safe and smooth participation of schools, the following should be noted:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Safety and Supervision:<\/strong> The safety of students during transportation, their stay at the venue, participation in the activities, and departure from the venue is the <strong>sole responsibility of the schools and their designated accompanying staff<\/strong>. Schools are required to ensure <em><strong>the presence of an adequate number of accompanying staff members<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Presence of a Physical Education Teacher:<\/strong> The <strong>presence of at least one Physical Education Teacher<\/strong> from each participating school is considered essential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Health Status:<\/strong> The decision regarding students\u2019 ability to participate in sports and physical activities (for health-related or any other reasons) is the <strong>sole responsibility of the schools and accompanying staff<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transportation:<\/strong> The transportation of students to and from the tennis courts is <strong>organized entirely by the individual school units<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Food and Water:<\/strong> Each student should bring <strong>their own snack and water<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr class=\"hr4\" \/>\n<p><strong>Certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>In all schools, students who take part in the activity will be awarded <strong>Certificates of Participation<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container us_custom_551b8207 us_animate_this has_bg_color\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Registration Process &amp; Deadlines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registrations will be completed digitally through the Festival\u2019s online platform: <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-6140\" src=\"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/link.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"22\" height=\"22\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/AWk7AR4XaD6KBafn6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/AWk7AR4XaD6KBafn6<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Registration deadline:<\/strong> <strong>Friday, September 18, 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attendance Scheduling:<\/strong> Each school that registers will be assigned a specific date and time for its visit.
