{"id":8632,"date":"2026-11-04T12:07:14","date_gmt":"2026-11-04T10:07:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/?p=8632"},"modified":"2026-11-06T02:12:00","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T00:12:00","slug":"in-person-oath-ceremony-december-11-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/?p=8632&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"In-person oath ceremony (December 11, 2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The graduation ceremony of the graduates of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, <strong>who have been declared graduates during the September 2026 examination period or any previous period<\/strong>, will take place on <strong>December 11, 2026<\/strong> (the exact time will be announced later).<\/p>\n<p>Those graduates who wish to participate in the ceremony must, during the period from <strong>04\/11\/2026 to 20\/11\/2026<\/strong>, log in to the page <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-6140 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/link.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"22\" height=\"22\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/students.duth.gr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/students.duth.gr<\/a> using their institutional account and apply for participation in the oath ceremony, by selecting from the menu: Grades \u2192 Degree Requirements \u2192 Oath Ceremony Application.<\/p>\n<p>They will need to upload:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-1361\" src=\"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/docx.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"22\" height=\"22\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/OathApp.docx\">Application for participation in the oath ceremony (docx: 18Kb)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A photo of their academic ID card (front side only). In case of loss, they must upload a police-issued declaration of loss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Until the day of the ceremony, the application status will appear as pending and will be finalized the day after the oath ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is mandatory<\/strong> for graduates to have settled any pending obligations with University Services by <strong>20\/11\/2026<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Library (e.g. if books or a thesis are owed to the Library, or books need to be returned to \u201cEudoxus\u201d), and<\/li>\n<li>Student Housing (if accommodation was provided, there must be no outstanding obligations).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Secretariat will be informed by the Library and the Student Housing or Welfare Office directly, and no additional certification is required from students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants in the oath ceremony must arrive at the Department\u2019s Secretariat at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony for identity verification and related procedures.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>After the oath ceremony<\/strong> (approximately one week later, and within 20 days), <strong>you will be able to download the following digitally signed certificates from<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-6140 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/phyed.duth.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/link.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"22\" height=\"22\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/students.duth.gr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/students.duth.gr<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Degree certificate<\/li>\n<li>Graduate verification certificate<\/li>\n<li>Transcript of records<\/li>\n<li>Specialization certificate<\/li>\n<li>Diploma Supplement (in Greek and English)<\/li>\n<li>Thesis certificate (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Teaching and Pedagogical Competence Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Graduates who wish to receive their degree printed on parchment must follow the steps below<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deposit the amount of \u20ac30 into the bank account of the Property Management Company of D.U.Th.: IBAN: GR88 0172 3530 0053 5304 5938 717 (Piraeus Bank). <strong>Attention<\/strong>: The payment receipt must include the note \u201cDegree parchment issuance \u2013 Oath Ceremony 12\/2026\u201d and the full name of the student.<\/li>\n<li>Email the payment receipt to the Department Secretariat (<a href=\"mailto:secr@phyed.duth.gr\">secr@phyed.duth.gr<\/a>) using their institutional email account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important notes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Each graduate may be accompanied <strong>by up to four (4) guests<\/strong>, whose names must be submitted to the Secretariat no later than one week before the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, the use of gas or hand-held air horns, any sound-emitting devices, confetti, or any objects that may pose a risk to safety (e.g. fire hazards, short circuits, etc.) is <strong>STRICTLY PROHIBITED<\/strong> within the Amphitheater and the building (Atrium).
